CTE participates in Global Youth Services Day

Celtic Testing Experts is proud to give back to our local community by participating in the 2013 Global Youth Services Day, presented locally by Aaron’s. “Global Youth Service Day, facilitated nationally by Youth Service America and State Farm, engages millions of youth worldwide in a weekend of service with three primary purposes:

To mobilize youth to identify and address the needs of their communities through service
To support youth on a life-long path of service and civic engagement
To educate the public, the media and policymakers about the year-round contributions of young people as community leaders

The lasting impact of Global Youth Service Day is remarkable. Our volunteers reached major accomplishments during Global Youth Service Day 2012:

Created 150 bird feeders
Decorated 90 flower pots for seniors
Created 14 vegetable gardens
Planted 2025 flowers and shrubs
Assembled 17 picnic tables
Used 5400 pounds of compost to condition the soil”

“S.W.A.G. Co-Op: Patchwork City Farms

Mission: South West Atlanta Growers Cooperative (SWAG Co-op) is an organization based in the historic West End neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. Our mission is to develop and maintain a local, secure, healthy food system that is both environmentally and economically sustainable”. The south west of Atlanta is home to over 6 independently operated urban farms and community garden.

Range of Activities: Volunteers will help member farms and gardens with activities such as: Planting, Harvesting, Weeding, Mulching. Tools used will include hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows and pitchforks. There is also a need for activities such as lawn mowing, and weed-whacking/edging. Other activities will include constructing raised beds, installing micro irrigation systems and building barns, chicken coops, etc.”

Amadou has a rich blend of experience in Testing Practice Leadership, Large scale Test Program Management, Test Consulting, Leading High Performance Teams” says Kelly Kierans, President of Celtic Testing Experts.

Prior to CTE, Amadou had worked for two BIG 4 Consulting firms as an executive and led quality business units for few Fortune 500 firms. Amadou’s educational background includes an MBA in Technology Management; he attended Yale University and American InterContinental University.

He is currently completing his PhD in Information Systems; his thesis focuses on “Artificial Intelligence and Software Testing”.
